Yes. We pick up from Jaisalmer railway station or airport. Trains like the Delhi–Jaisalmer Intercity arrive early morning so you can drive straight to the dunes.
The day trip exists, but the night under the stars is the whole point — folk music, campfire and a dawn over the dunes. Travellers who rush it always want to redo it.
Fully — tame camels with experienced sand guides, one camel per rider, and the ride stays close to camp for sunset.
October to March. Winter nights touch 5°C — stunning but cold. Carry a Jacket. Summer (Apr–Jun) is only for the heat-tolerant.
